July 2025- Playwriting
LAB DESCRIPTION
Intimate class for those looking to revise and get feedback on works in progress. Participants will focus on one element of playwriting basics per class, including character, plot, and structure. Additionally, each participant will submit pages one week early to have read and develop written feedback for peers. Revised portions of the plays will be showcased during the final class.

LEADERSHIP LAB INSTRUCTOR
Amina S. McIntyre
Amina S. McIntyre is an Atlanta based playwright whose productions and readings include: Actor’s Express, Atlanta History Museum, Lenoir-Rhyne University, and Out of Hand Theatre. Her play, On the Third Day, produced by Vanguard Repertory Theatre, earned a Suzi Bass Award. Amina earned degrees in Anthropology from Colby College, African American and African Diaspora Studies from Indiana University, Playwriting from Spalding University, and Theological Studies from Emory University. She is a Ph.D Candidate at Vanderbilt University and Co-Founder of the Hush Harbor Lab, a new play development company for Black Artists.
